Hiring our BC estate probate lawyers
Hiring our BC estate probate lawyers is simple process.
Step 1: Consultation
We like to meet with prospective clients to find out if we can help you and whether you do in fact require estate probate lawyers. Ideally we’ll meet with you in person; however, we can discuss matters on the telephone if distance is an issue. Call us toll free at 1-855-467-0505 to schedule a probate consultation.
During the consultation, we’ll listen to your situation, review any important documents you bring with you, and then tell you if and how we can assist with your probate. We also welcome any questions you have about the probate process.
Also during the consultation we’ll discuss legal fees such as when they are to be paid and how they are to be paid.
Step 2: Formally retaining us
In order for us to probate an estate for you, we must be fully retained. It’s a straight-forward process involving you signing a retainer agreement. Once the retainer agreement is signed by you, we’re your estate probate lawyers.
Step 3: Probate the estate
Once we’re your estate probate lawyers, we’ll take over the probate process on your behalf. Generally, the starting point will be collecting documents pertaining to the estate and testator/rix.
Sometimes we like to meet a few times with you over the course of the probate process to ask more questions and/or answer questions you may have. Also, in some circumstances, you may have additional obligations dealing with an estate which we can let you know about.
Otherwise our estate probate team will work efficiently to get the estate probated as quickly and smoothly as possible. We’ve been probating estates in British Columbia for many years. Moreover, we have a highly trained staff who are extremely familiar with the process and have contacts to facilitate a smooth probate throughout BC.
Step 4: Probate is complete
Once probate is complete, we’ll provide you the necessary documentation resulting from the successful probate. We’ll also provide you a final reporting letter.
